INTRODUCTION:
DR . RANADE ORATION is a prestigious oration given by the Telangana State Branch of IADVL every year during CUTICON-Telangana. Member shall apply with the topic and a brief note on his/her contribution/publications to the field of his/her topic. The topic to be presented shall be based on the publication work in an indexed journal. Both academic achievement and contribution of the applicant to IADVL/IADVL Telangana will be considered during selection. The oration will be given only once to a person. The selection criteria and SOP are given below.
Criteria for Dr Ranade oration:
1. Must be a life member of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, leprologists, and Venereologists from Telangana state (TSIADVL).
2. The applicant should have at least 20 years of experience in the speciality after passing Diploma/MD/DNB.
3. The topic of oration must have been published in the indexed journals of dermatology, venereology, and leprosy and not in paid journals with the applicant being as first author.
4. At least two publications on the subject preferably in indexed journals as first or second author.
5. The applicant must have at least 5 publications, related to the subject of the topic of oration in peer-reviewed journals and he must be the first author in all those publications
6. At least two presentations (paper/ invited lecture) on the subject in regional, national or international conferences
7. Chapters on the subject in standard textbooks or monographs on the subject.
8. The applicant has been recognized as an authority in the subject by peers in case of a lack of publications and/or presentations.
Note :
1. Criteria 1 and 2 are mandatory
2. Any one of the criteria from 3 onwards, should be fulfilled
3. Contribution to IADVL/IADVL- Telangana will be considered in addition to the above criteria.
4. Decision of the selection committee will be final.
